Livestream
The World Championships can also be followed beyond the stands. During the evening sessions and on Sunday afternoon, we will provide a livestream from Omnisport, featuring multiple camera angles and live commentary from Marty MacDonald. The broadcast will also include additional explanation, interviews and stories from the world of para cycling.
Audiotribune / Gazeti
During the World Championships, an audio commentary service will also be available. This will help visitors with a visual impairment follow the races more closely. Live commentary and background information will provide extra context on what is happening on the track.
The service can also be valuable for visitors who want to learn more about the sport, the tactics and the different events.
Bartiméus
During the UCI Para Cycling Track World Championships, Bartiméus will be present with a special experience focused on visual accessibility. On Thursday, 29 October and Friday, 30 October, visitors can experience during the break what it is like to move through Omnisport with a visual impairment and find a seat in the stands. In an accessible way, the activity shows what accessibility means in practice.
Fonds Gehandicaptensport
During the World Championships, we are working together with Fonds Gehandicaptensport. On Thursday, 29 October, they will host a gathering at Omnisport. Through the Sponsor a Metre of Track initiative, funds will also be raised for Fonds Gehandicaptensport. In addition, an auction will feature special items and experiences connected to the World Championships.
In the lead-up to the event, a special newspaper will also be distributed to 30,000 households in Apeldoorn, with the UCI Para Cycling Track World Championships taking a prominent place.
Toyota Experience
Toyota, a main sponsor of the UCI, will host a special experience for its guests on Thursday afternoon. During the programme, invited guests will have the opportunity to experience the World Championships and para cycling up close.
Indoor trainer en wattbike
Want to experience for yourself how much power it takes on the bike? During the World Championships, visitors will have the chance to get on an indoor trainer or Wattbike. Together with partners including Decathlon, we are creating an interactive set-up focused on speed, power and effort.
Pumptrack met Accres
In the lead-up to the World Championships, Accres is organising a pump track activity in several neighbourhoods across Apeldoorn. Children can take part in activities using a stamp card and collect their final stamp during the World Championships. A pump track will be set up at the main entrance of Omnisport during the event. With a completed stamp card, children and one parent will receive free entry to the World Championships.
Toppers bij jou op school
Through Topsport Gelderland, elite athletes will visit twenty classes in the region over the coming weeks as part of Toppers bij jou op school. Students will get an introduction to elite sport and the stories behind the athletes. Each participating class will also receive two free tickets to attend the UCI Para Cycling Track World Championships at Omnisport Apeldoorn.
